8 Year Old Boy Shot Friend Dead in Ondo

It was a sad moment today at holy flock street, Ayeyemi, Ondo, as an eight year old boy accidentally shot his friend of same age with his father's hunting gun.

It was gathered that father of the alleged eight year old boy hung the fully  loaded double barrel gun in his sitting room after returning from game hunting and went out.

The unfortunate insident however, happened when the hunter's son and his friend entered the leaving room and starting playing with the loaded gun.

The little boy whose name was not mentions was said to have accidentally pulled the trigger and immediately killed his friend while dragging the said gun with him.

Residents of the area who gathered in groups to sympertize with the berived family blamed the unfortunate incidence on the farmer for leaving his gun loaded after returning from farm.

Some of them who did not want there names mentioned said parents of the two children had not been in good times for a very longtime which made the matter more complicating.

Men of the Nigeria police from Enu-owa police division who came visited the crime scene later took the corpse to general hospital, Ondo while the 8year old and his father hunter were immediately taken to the station.

Effort to speak with the station DPO was not successful as he was said to be on an official assignment to the state capital, in Akure.
