6 Nigerian Artistes That Seriously Need To Quit Music and Try something else

If you think some Nigerian artistes have no business doing music, oh please, I share the same thoughts with you. Seriously singing or even rapping it’s not for everybody. Because you love music it does not necessarily mean you have to sing or rap. Maybe you could be a backup singer at most. These artistes should quit doing music already. All their efforts so far have fallen flat or could be simply tagged as “just another song”. A painful fact is that some are signed to record labels with bulging purses, meaning there are enough funds for promo. Too bad nothing comot. These folks mentioned below are guilty, we can point fingers at them. They include the folks from HKN and the Gang. Apart from Davido, I feel every other artiste on the label should take a chill pill, cool off and try some new stuff outside singing or rapping.

1. Danagog : Omo this guy no try at all. The only reason most of us know this guy is because of his affiliation with Davido and HKN. He has done a number of songs that have failed to impress. He has even featured “almighty” Davido on a couple of tracks still no hope. Even with videos to match yet, his songs have failed to stick.

2. Sina Rambo : Wow I most have for a second or two harboured the thoughts that this dude, with time will get deserving recognition in music. Please I take back my thoughts. If only good looks and money was all it takes to blow, it wouldn’t be much of a stress for Sina Rambo. The best that has been heard from this guy is that he is Davido’s cousin, and one time he was alleged to have ganged up with B_Red to beat up Davido in Atlanta.

3. B-Red : People say he should be better off being a model or video vixen. He clings strongly to his cousin Davido for relevance. He features in almost all of Davido’s videos and photos. Featuring Akon on his “Cucumber” has done little to break new grounds for the brother. He seems to be the hardest working of the others as he has an EP “All The Way Up”.

4. Skiibii: An artiste who is more famous for a “resurrection” PR stunt than all his singles combined. His dastard act has given fellow colleagues an avenue to craft witty punch lines. “If I give one more you go skiibii oh skiibii” and “even if you fake your own death you fit still no blow” LOL YCEE and Falz use this guy shine. Anytime I listen to this guy it leaves more to be desired. FIVE STAR MUSIC has the kind of money to push this guy, I can’t place what is missing.

5. Viktoh : He hasn’t enjoyed huge patronage and breakthrough for someone under the tutelage of king Baddo. He is nothing like his ex-label mate Lil Kesh who has recorded back to back hits like Olamide cried out at Headies Award night. So far his efforts can only be marked has average.

6. Vic O : This Cross River state born self acclaimed rapper is nothing short of a joke. The only thing I admire about him is his guts and bravado in spite of his lack of talent. He is so fun of telling bloated tales whenever he is lucky to gain an interview. He should rest jare!
