Arsenal New-Boy Shkodran Mustafi Suffers Injury Scare While Playing for Germany
New Arsenal signing Shkodran Mustafi has given his side an injury scare after he was left clutching his ankle while representing Germany on Wednesday night.
The Sun report that the former Valencia defender was playing in Bastian Schweinsteiger's testimonial fixture against Finland, but the damage came early in the second half. He was able to continue on after the knock, but the extent of the damage - if any - is not yet known.
He's back on and seems to be just fine. You can breathe again, @Arsenal fans! 😉#GERFIN

Mustafi is expected to become Laurent Koscielny's new long-term defensive partner after signing for £35m on Tuesday. But Gunners fans will be hoping that there are no lasting effects with the injury given Per Mertesacker is out for a number of months, Gabriel Paulista is still struggling with injury of his own and Calum Chambers has been loaned out to Middlesbrough.
After he signed for the club earlier this week, the player said on the move: "I’m delighted. It’s a massive step in my career to come to a club with the history and quality that Arsenal have and be able to play in competitions like the Premier League and the Champions League. I’m very proud and happy to be here.
"I know the club. The Premier League is very popular in Spain and I always try to watch matches whenever I can. Arsenal have top quality players and play some great football so they were one of the teams I watched most."
