YOUTHSHOWCASE SERIES 6; HOW THE C.E.O OF LE VISAGE SIGNATURE SPOTTED OPPORTUNITY ADMIST FRUSTRATION

              Akeke Kenny Le Visage is the chairman and lead Artist of the Le Visage Signature, a Jos City based makeover studio and Academy. She is another distinct African female who have successfully pitched an entrepreneurship tent amidst frustration.She dare traveling the rail of entrepreneurship during her days in the university of Jos, period during which the incessant ASUU industrial actions is constituting frustration in her academic pursuit. For Kenny, a Yoruba lady schooling in the north, traveling home at every outbreak of a strike become a struggle and she started nursing a desire for independence and self sufficiency. This led the enthusiastic Le Visage into signing up for a makeup course where she acquired the skills of professional application of grease paints and other ethics of the makeup industry.

        She founded Le Visage Signature 9years ago, a makeup studio and academy in the plateau city of Jos.

         HER CHALLENGE

         No success without challenges. While making things happen in the faraway Jos, she encountered some challenges one of which Kenny described as her major start-up challenge was tribal factor,``there is this `our own person clause``. It is an all over thing. I think that is the major challenge, every other challenge faced is part of the process of being successful``. The passionate entrepreneur believe nothing just happen, so she keeps on.

       `` there are times when I just don’t want to go to my business place because it wasn’t working as I projected, those hard times I tell myself being an entrepreneur sucks. And some other time I celebrate myself, am doing great! I am awesome! Never give up. God has been my inspiration``.

         THE GAME CHANGING DECISIONS

         However, the makeup expert has a game changing decision and it works. She revealed that what she does differently is, aside doing a wonderful makeup on people, she started a makeup school which is very affordable and offer free certificate makeup training for interested persons who are in dare need of it.

 Another game changing decision according to her is doing bridal makeup for brides who want to look good on their wedding day but can`t afford a makeup artist.

         Outside makeup Kenny Le Visage has passion for IT, she is an IT Technician. Also a mediator and volunteer for NGO(s). And she never stops learning. 

         HER WORDS FOR THE YOUTHS

         Youths, especially female should believe more in themselves and never stop working in the right direction. My all time motivation has been; you cannot be a beneficiary of what you don’t believe in, don’t expect people to believe in you but never stop believing in yourself and God`s ability``.

          COMMENTARY;
